About

Early on, I discovered my passion for the arts in drawing, writing poetry, and singing. In the 1980’s one of one of my songs titled “Tic-Tic Nervoso” became a great hit, and played on nearly every Brazilian radio Station, as well as several TV shows, soap operas, and even a Chevrolet commercial in the United States.

After I graduated in Art and Visual Communication at the FAAP University, I was hired as an “advertising graphic designer”, where I worked as a layout man and illustrator in developing advertising and publicity campaigns for a wide-range of companies, including Sears Roebuck. In addition to marketing work, I was commissioned to draw story-boards for television advertising.

After having worked on TV ads, I worked a professional freelance actor in commercials, on stage, and in job training videos Furthermore I have acted in the theater, soap operas, videos and movies for more than 25 years. I have trained with the best Brazilian directors including Fernando Meirelles (City of God) and Hector Babenco (“Carandiru”) – which was nominated for an Oscar in the category of Best Foreign Film in 2004. In addition to working on the film crew for “Carandriru” I also played a part in the film.

I have worked as free-lance illustrator, writer, and designer. I helped to integrate a team of artists for the construction of a diorama of Latin America – a permanent exhibition at the Memorial of the America Latina – in Sao Paulo, where my sculptures and paintings are also displayed.

In 1993, I was hired by HGN Animation company to draw for Disney’s Aladin television series in Brazil. I am the author of published children’s books in Portuguese, and I’m currently working to develop my stories and illustrations for an English readership.

Also I am the author and illustrator of many children’s books, published in Brazil by Paulinas Publishing Company.

Currently, I have taken my expertise in acting, teaching and the arts to help me produce, write, direct, and edit my videos about my songs and tales – many of which I’ve published on YouTube and other media outlets.

My life’s work is in the arts.
